Wooden Radios revitalise village

Magno is a social enterprise in Indonesia that integrates product design, traditional craftsmanship, new technology and sustainable practices.

The founder, Singgih S. Kartono, together with a team of 30 young and skilled cabinet makers produce wooden radios and small gift items in Temanggung, Central Java.

Magno items are manufactured in an ethical and environmentally sustainable production process. The profits support both the development of a sustainable timber plantation (the source of the raw product) which surrounds the production facility and local community development, through employment and training.
